FRC Robots

“Shelly” 2019

Shelly (AKA Shelly the Space Viper) was our 2019 Robot. She was named because of her lifting mechanism that looked like a striking viper, and all of the gears she shelled during the troubleshooting period. The “viper lift” was used to place balls and disks onto shelves of different heights in the 2019 FRC Competition “Destination: Deep Space”. On the front, two pneumatic ‘fangs’ would fold in and out to pick up or set down balls and disks.

“Boing” 2020 – 2021

Boing was our robot for the 2020 competition. He was named because of the spring we used to protect his shooter’s wiring. Boing could not participate in the 2020 competition due to Covid-19, canceling the competition entirely. But instead was used in 2021’s virtual competition with some alterations.

“Mega Mind” 2022

Mega-Mind was designed for the 2022 competition, “Rapid React”. It has a fold-out ball intake, canon-like shooter on the back, and a tilting climb/hang mechanism to reach the bars and ascend to the next tier. It suffered a tumble during competition but managed to survive unharmed. Mega-Mind also made it to the Semi-Finals in Green County Regional, OK.

“Unnamed Robot” 2023

This robot for the Charged-Up competition is being designed to pick up both cone and cube alike.
